What is my performance rating and how do I check it?

Your performance rating gives you a general idea of the capabilities of your computer. It measures your processor speed, memory, video card, and hard disk space, and assigns each of these items a rating. The bigger the number, the better the rating. The lowest scoring item on this test becomes your performance rating.

Here's how to check your performance rating:

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Control Panel
  3. Click System and Maintenance
  4. Click "Check your System Performance Rating" under System
